One person runs each job from the first call to the day it's finished, so nothing gets lost between departments and you always know who to ring. ### The Story Most people have been told they've got two choices. Spend a lot on timber, then keep spending to look after it. Or fit whatever's cheapest and put up with how it looks. So a lot of people do nothing. Another winter of cold rooms and draughts, because getting it wrong feels worse than living with it. We don't think that choice was ever a real one. What makes a window look wrong on a house was never the material. It's the proportions, the thickness of the frame, how far it sits back in the wall, and the finish. Get those right and nobody looks twice. Get them wrong and timber won't save it. So we start with the house. We'll come and look at it with you, bring samples, and talk through what it actually needs rather than what's on the price list. Then we'll find the right thing for it, from whoever makes it best, deal with the planning side if there is one, and see the job through ourselves from that first conversation to the day it's finished. Usually five or ten minutes. ### We come and look At the house, with samples. We'll talk through what suits it and what doesn't. This isn't a sales appointment with a price at the end of it. ### Options and specification We'll set out what we'd recommend and why, including anything we'd leave alone. ### The planning side If there's a conservation area or an Article 4 direction involved, we'll handle the correspondence. ### Survey Proper measurements. Houses move, and the survey is where that gets picked up. ### Install and sign-off We complete the install. In practice that means four things. Every installation we carry out is certified as meeting Building Regulations, and we register it with your local authority. You'll get a certificate confirming it, usually within about a month. It comes in our registered name, Flush Fit Windows Ltd, which is the company behind Mullion & Co. Our installers and surveyors carry Assure ID cards, confirming both who they are and that they hold the technical competences for the work. And scheme membership requires us to provide financial protection, so you're covered if the business stops trading before a job or a guarantee has run its course. Ask to see the card.
